Keyword Research
Finding the searches real customers use for your product, then ranking them by relevance and volume.
Why it matters
Every downstream decision, title, bullets, backend terms, campaign structure, depends on getting this right. Research based on how the brand describes its product rather than how shoppers search for it is the single most common cause of a well-made listing that nobody finds.
In practice
The most reliable source is your own search term report, because those are searches that already led to your product. Beyond that: competitor reverse-ASIN lookups, Amazon's own autocomplete, and Brand Analytics search frequency rank if you have Brand Registry.
Sort candidates by relevance first and volume second. A high-volume term that converts poorly costs you both money and the conversion rate that drives your rank.
