Backend Search Terms
A hidden keyword field on each listing, capped at roughly 250 bytes, used to index for terms that do not belong in visible copy.
Why it matters
Backend terms are where synonyms, common misspellings, Spanish-language variants and use-case phrases go, the searches real customers type that you would never put in a title. Amazon indexes the field but shoppers never see it.
In practice
The field is byte-limited, not word-limited, and Amazon ignores anything past the cap without warning. Do not repeat words already in your title or bullets, do not use commas as separators (spaces are enough), and never include competitor brand names, that is a policy violation that can suppress the listing.
