3PL (Third-Party Logistics)

An outside warehouse and fulfillment provider handling storage, prep and shipping on your behalf.

Why it matters

A 3PL is the buffer between your manufacturer and Amazon's network. It absorbs bulk inbound freight, handles prep and labeling to Amazon's specification, and lets you feed FBA in controlled batches instead of paying Amazon to store several months of stock.

In practice

Using a 3PL as a forward-staging point is what makes FBA storage costs manageable at scale, and it gives you somewhere to route product when Amazon imposes restock limits. It also handles FBM overflow, oversized items and any prep Amazon will not do.

How Amplore handles it: Our 3PL network moves product from your manufacturer through to the customer, which is what lets us take inventory in volume without pushing storage cost back onto you.
